Tested rheem package system for operation
Tony R.
When I arrived, I had two different error codes showing up for diagnostic. I was able to clear the pressure switch code and cleaned out pressure switch ports on each end. I was able to close the pressure switch. Lastly I had a high limit switch that prevented unit from turning on. I checked both high limit switches and received continuity on both. I found a dirty air filter and replaced it because restriction can cause limit switch to trip. After failing to get system on, I turned on cooling for 10 minutes to cool switches and system down. I turned back onto heating and same issue. The ducting intact to system needs to be replaced and undersized. System will turn on after it cools down but problem will consistently happen when temperatures get too hot. System is operational upon departure. System is ten plus years and needs replacement along with ducting to work efficiently in this commercial space.

Upon arrival performed diagnostic client said someone left system on over night and next morning system was not running. Found secondary motor control compellty dead. Compressor is kicking on with a good amount of electrical draw. Could add a booster kit to keep compressor healthy on kick start. System is operational.

Arrived on site to perform AC maintenance on two system package units. Maintenance checked Out properly on Lenox unit although older york unit showed that it was low on R410a refrigerant charge. Added in 1 pound of refrigerant and system did not react properly and left off at that point due to possible contamination within system. System is still maintaining indoor temperature at 73°. Upon departure system is fully operational

Performed maintenance on 2 package units. Front unit was not heating on arrival due to a tripped limit switch that was caused by a dirty filter. Replaced filter and reset switch, system is heating correctly. Ran systems through maintenance inspection. Systems are operational upon departure.

Arrived on site to perform diagnostic. On arrival business manager stated that he system wasn’t working last week. He thought it was the thermostat so he replaced it with a nest thermostat. It still didn’t work after that so he called out a google technician who came and wired the thermostat correctly. System is now working as it should and can not diagnose since there’s no issue. Checked system operations. Checked temperatures and electrical components. Cycled system through heating and cooling to check for proper temperature splits. Systems are working normally. Operational upon departure.

Performed diagnostic on York package unit. System is not cooling. Cycled thermostat for cooling. Unit kicked on for a minute and then shut off, tripped on low pressure switch. Gauged up to unit and found it low on refrigerant. With approval charged system back up to proper charge of refrigerant and added leak sealant and dye. Also found that thermostat was cutting command to unit too soon before reaching temperature. Replaced thermostat. System is now producing proper temperature split and cooling correctly. Cycled system, system is operational upon departure. Office to bill.
