Review of Cool Air Solutions

We got our entire HVAC system updated and installed two years ago with Cool Air Solutions. They also helped us get new, energy efficient windows, which qualified us for a state rebate. From the technicians who handled the install to the service providers in the office, every person went above and beyond. When the city came to inspect and sign off on our project, the inspector said he’d never seen a cleaner install and asked us to pass on Cool Air’s info since he needed to update his own HVAC. Here we are two years later for our complimentary service, and the same high standard of care and service is clearly evident. Thank you to the office team for following up and reminding us about our service, and to Jorge for being a great technician!

System is leaking water into wall. Drain lines are not clogged. Bad fitting somewhere inside the wall. Will be running drain into a condensation pump , and run tubing for condensation inside the existing drain line that is going outside the home. Will be ordering pump and will let dispatch know when part comes in to schedule return call. Collected $91.00 deposit, $824.20 to be collected at time of completion.

Indoor motor leaking excessive amount of oil. Outdoor refrigerant levels look good. Amperages on compressor are 18 running amps. Condenser fan motor leaking oil. System has 2 wire hardstart kit. Replaced 20x25x1 filter. System needs repairs and deepmcleanings to get system to work properly. Home owner is working and will get with his team to look over repair options. Arrived on site to diagnose air flow issue on a 3 zoned heat pump system. Inspected all zones and thermostat. Inspected attic and indoor air handler. Inspected system operation. Inspect out door unit. Che led refrigerant pressure and inspect ducting layout and duct sizes. The summary of findings are as followed. Air handler 1. Found no very low air flow to master room zone 1. 2. Found duct to master bed room to be undersized and not providing enough air flow to bedroom. Should have another return vent in home. 3. 4 ton unit with only 1 return on first floor and is under sized creating high static pressure within system. 4.Found air handler ducting to be using old gray flex ducting and is in bad condition as part of the ducting insulation is falling part losing cold temperature in attic. 5. Ducting lay isn’t the best design for home and system for proper airflow. 6. Found 10 inch damper for zone 3 will not open or close allowing all cold air to go to zone 3 since it is always open

System is not draining. Breather was capped. Emergency drain has water inside. Could possibly be cracked pan or not even system.mcould not really see inside coil, no light inside attic. Spoke to Andrew to send install back.msystem is 4 days old. Checked refrigerant chargebvery good. Need to come out as soon as possible. Water just stays stuck in primary drain does not drain out, have to push water in manually.

Arrived on site to diagnose a no air flow issues on a 2003. Upon arrival spoke over with client they stated they have been dealing with home warranty for months and time after time again they can not figure issues or provide repairs options. They been dealing with home warranty for month and wanted a second opinion as to what’s going on. She stated master bed room and is not getting any air flow. It when they turn on the master thermostat is get extremely cold Downstairs in zone 3. Advised them I would have to advanced trouble shoot and see what’s going on with zones and as to why it is no cooling in master bed room. Found out that they do have a bad damper that is in zone 3 that is not closing or opening properly and is open at all time and is why they get so much cold air to zone 3 when they run master bed room zone. As well found out ducting in master bed room is in really bad shape and is losing the air possible in attic. Tested one more time and did identify that zone 3 damp

Found system operational upon arrival. Tenant stated the unit was taking a long time to cool and sometimes the air felt a little more luke warm. Inspected Payne heat pump and was only able to access one port to check refrigerant pressures. The high pressure service port began to leak heavily as the cap was being unscrewed. Only got about halfway before it was too much. Screwed cap back on. Took pictures and uploaded. Tenant was also able to visually confirm. Inspected attic and air handler in the attic. Duct is gray flex duct that is deteriorated and losing the external layers of insulation. Heat pump and air handler are original to the home (1986). Home is slightly over 1600 sq ft. Customer (homeowner) approved adding some freon to help for now. She wants to get replacement options. Having supervisor call her to coordinate and arrange details. No warranty on Freon leaks. Freon leak rate can vary. Unit cooling but struggling upon departure.
