I performed a combo maintenance today on a Lennox system. Upon arrival, the system was operational and both heating and cooling mode. Caroline mentioned that she smelled a weird smell when the heating turned on last week. I explain to her that her system uses two types of fuel, refrigerant and gas. This smell comes from the oils left the system from manufacturing and is normal. I cleaned the outdoor coil and inside of the condenser as it was dirty. All return air filters were still clean. All electrical components tested within their ranges. Upon departure of the system is fully operational and both heating and cooling mode with optimal temperature differentials. My A/C stopped working on a hot Friday afternoon, and Isaac was able to come out the next morning. I was so pleased because I imagined having to wait until Monday. He got the 23-yr-old unit to start working again without replacing any parts. He explained and took photos of the worn parts to show me, and provided quotes for replacing them now or in the future. I decided to start looking for estimates on a new unit, so he kindly called his office before he left my home to set up a sales appointment. He answered all of my questions throughout his service visit, and I learned so much about HVAC systems. I was very impressed with Isaac!
